ACU-YOGA
TEACHER TRAINING
Prerequisites: Acu-Yoga, Basic & Intermediate Acupressure
classes
Text / Materials Required: Acu-Yoga and audio tape set
by Michael Reed Gach, Ph.D.
20 Contact Hours (This class counts as two classes in the 200-Hour
Program)
- Learn how
to teach Acu-Yoga self-help techniques
- A Certificate
of Completion awarded
ANATOMY
& KINESIOLOGY CLASSES
Text required for all classes: Anatomy of Movement by Blandine
Calais-Germain
15 Hours each class
Classes may be taken in any order
- Study the
muscles and anatomy of movement of each area of the body
- Learn how
to do muscle tests for assessment as well as the balancing techniques
of kinesiology
- The Arm:
arm area muscles and bones
- The Leg:
leg area muscles and bones
- The Shoulder:
shoulder area muscles and bones
- The Trunk:
middle of body muscles and bones
APPRENTICESHIP
TRAINING
Prerequisites: Basic, Intermediate & Advanced Acupressure
Classes
10 Contact Hours
- This hands-on
workshop applies the material learned in the Basic Training
and 200-Hour programs
- Through small
group interaction, students develop point patterns and session
plans
- Expand your
assessment capabilities and clinical experience
- One Apprenticeship
Training required for 200-Hour; three required for 850-Hour
PRACTICAL
TEACHING SKILLS
Prerequisites: Basic, Intermediate & Advanced Acupressure
classes plus Mini Classes
12 Hours
- Learn teaching
skills to teach 'Releasing Shoulder & Neck Tension', 'Releasing
Back Tension & Pain' and 'Acupressure for Common Complaints'
PRACTICE
SESSIONS - BASIC
2 Hours/session
- The Institute
offers regularly scheduled practice sessions for students of
all levels to practice the material they have learned in classes
with other students
- Emphasis on
questions, consultation, and group interaction
- All students
who have taken classes at the Institute are welcome to participate
at no additional cost
PRACTICE
SESSIONS - ADVANCED
Prerequisite: Basic, Intermediate & Advanced Acupressure Classes
2 Hours/session
- Regularly
scheduled practice sessions are available for advanced level
students to practice the material they have learned in classes
with other students
- Emphasis is
on questions, consultation, and group interaction
TAI
CHI
Weekly Classes (1.5 hours each)
- Learn the
short-form Yang style of Tai Chi Chuan
- Attention
given to meridian flows, breathing techniques, and energy balancing
TUTORIALS
- Preparation
for your 150-hour evaluation, led by an instructor
